February 2024 festival screenings of “Joey Skaggs: The Solomon Project”

Trial by mainframe?

In 1995, Dr. Joseph Bonuso (a.k.a. Joey Skaggs) and a team of artificial intelligence and legal experts announced Solomon, a distributed program running on a set of super computers that could deliberate on evidence and render swift, unassailable verdicts. Superseding judges and juries, it dispensed unbiased equal justice, opening a Pandora’s box for the legal establishment and the media.

Make a date with justice! “Joey Skaggs: The Solomon Project,” the 10th film in the “Joey Skaggs Satire and Art Activism, 1960s to the Present and Beyond” oral history series, will be screening in two festivals this month.
